Ok, I get home from an *insane* day and 14 of my friends have posted the 'memories' meme to their journals. Please forgive me, but I can't reply to them all, much as I'd like to.

Today I:

Drove an hour to San Bernardino to meet the sprinkler repair guy at 9.
Got him started on the sprinklers. Called plumber for another tenant issue.
Drove to Highland to meet tree surgeon #1 for estimate. $750 estimate.
Next tree surgeon couldn't get there by 10:45, so I drove back over to SB to pay the sprinkler guys and make sure the timer was set right. $707.
Drove back to Highland again to meet tree surgeon #2. $675 estimate. Got to visit my doggy. More about doggy later.
Went to Kay's Cafe for lunch. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and they brought me tuna but I was so hungry I didn't care. Added up the receipts of everything I sold last year and all the rent I brought in last year.
Went to Starbucks and set up the laptop. Who was that strange woman frantically entering receipt into Quickbooks at the last minute? Couldn't have been me. Couldn't get to the internet from their wireless network to find a place to print out my general ledgers.
Went to my tax appointment at 2. Turned the laptop back on and rotated it so that the accountant could read my numbers from the screen. I *so* have my sh*t together.
I lost plenty of money last year, so at least I don't owe money to the Feds or the state. Still have to figure out sales tax, though.
Drove an hour home. Took a nap.
Painted my pavilion poles green to go with the business color scheme.
Read email and LJ. Now to bed.

Oh yeah, about my doggyboy. In one of those situations that is way harder on the people than on the dog, his interocular pressure (and the pain that goes with it) is no longer responding to medicated eyedrops. The vets said this would happen, but it's still a bummer. He goes in for surgery next week. Then he will no longer look bugeyed; he will have perpetually closed eyes. It's hard to think about, but it will be much more comfortable for Crispin, and that's who matters. Again, I give my ex-boyfriend props for taking good care of Crispin. (For new friends: Crispin developed diabetes very suddenly two years ago and went stone blind within a month, before the vets could get his sugar under control. He doesn't use those eyes. He will feel better. So why are my eyes suddenly giving me so much trouble?)
