Too slow with the camera

 In one of those Questions for the Ages, why is the camera never within easy reach when the cat is doing something really cute? Cokie is large, gray and white, and extremely fluffy. She managed to wedge herself into the second shelf of my little medieval costume cupboard (except for the large fluffy tail hanging out). Cutest thing ever, but of course she jumps out again before I can find the camera. Molly the dog looks on from her perch on the bed with her head hanging over the side like a benevolent sleepy gargoyle. 

Tomorrow I drive to Grass Valley to meet a new casting guy. One who doesn't require me to send cash through the mail. Sam says his company does a great job, and after three failed castings of a certain gold signet ring, I'm ready to call in a pro.
