Yay! functioning keyboard!
Jun. 26th, 2009 02:35 pmOK, so this week has had some suck and some win and some maybe-it-will-be-win-but-I-don't-know-yet, but I couldn't post more than a tiny line or two because my back key was stuck and the cursor kept moving left over what I'd already written. Today I disassembled my laptop and squirted several dollars of electronic cleaner into the keyboard, and when it still would not cooperate, I left it disconnected. I now have my mom's old Mac keyboard perched atop my laptop, and while it looks weird, it functions. Whew!
If Windows only had a function in the keyboards control panel enabling one to turn off the built-in keyboard, it would have saved me a good deal of trouble.
Off to catch up on things and maybe get some actual work done.
