Arg. I hab a code. Dis trows by schedule off. I wadda bake a bunch ob cool stuff for Barch Crown.
Got almost nothing done yesterday. I'm making a jig to help me solder circlets together more efficiently. This is currently a Giant Pain in the Butt, as the wire they ship you is not milled quite straight, but has slight waves. Lining up the two ends is way more trouble than it ought to be, and the circlets do sell, so I'm making a jig. As soon as I get my butt to the studio.
I did get photos of the pomander and the new man's ring up on the website, on the jewels and rings pages respectively. I'd like some feedback on the photography. For the big ring, I rigged up the same flashlight lanterns I use in the booth at night, and photographed it on a graduated gray background. I finally got a photo that reflected the paper rather than myself, but it looks odd to me. Does it look fake to you? I didn't retouch anything - just increased the brightness and added the border fade. I did polish the living heck out of the sides of the ring, as I want to enlarge some of these photos to banner size to hang in the booth, and every little smudge shows up at 4 megapixels. I wish I'd taken a higher-resolution shot of Meg's rings when I had them.
Right. Off I go.
